Samuele report - march

Ciao belli!

With some weeks of delay I write you about evs life. I’ve just come back from my middle term training in Torun, and I have to admit was very healthy for my mind and my mood. Things here are going good, but sometimes I feel a bit frustrated. I didn’t really know why until I met the other volounteers of the training. I think I just had to discover new people and reactivate my inner interest and curiosity.

The previous week, on Thursday the 22nd, we had planned an intercultural event for the Week Against Discrimination, but unluckily we could not manage to realize it because of the short time we had; however the event is just postponed, so we will update you soon for further news ;)

After getting sick again (I MISS THE SUN and I feel it), on Wednesday the 23st we welcomed Spring in our way in Lazarus Garden. I think the spring was on an italian train because she still hadn’t arrived: it was really, really cold. But altough the adverse conditions we carried on our workshops with children and their parents (actually the parents were more interested in the workshops while their children were running around the garden) and we warmed us up with some hot tea and coffee.

The best part of the week was Friday morning, when we turned into professional cleaning operators and we checked all the materials hidden into the office and cleaned it up. After these moments, the week proceeded quiet, and that’s why I really needed this week in Torun. We received many many informations for our future (very hot topic for every volounteer, younger and older) and each conversation with the other people was food for my mind and stimulated my curiosity again, thing I had lost a bit in Poznan. Another unfavorable point is I don’t have much relations with the people in my flat. Since we all volounteers live separately, we deal with other people every day; which is not bad, unless you find bad or totally alienated people.

Plus, while I was in Torun my parents came here in Poznan, and they really wanted to meet Mikel, Saray, Alexandra and our other friends. According to what hey said, both had really fun in this atmosphere of languages mix and will of communicating and understanding, and I strongly claim how happy I am about knowing these people that, even though I still have 3 months of evs left, I’m already sure they are what I will miss the most.

Do widzenia!
