We want to invite You to participate in the project "Between us neighbors" especially if You are interested in making the Łazarz (neighborhood in Poznan) a friendly place for all its inhabitants. As representatives of different cultures, nationalities, religions and at the same time neighbors, we want to give ourselves the opportunity to better know, talk and understand each other. We believe that by this project we have an opportunity to build a bridge between seemingly strangers from different worlds – between foreigners living in our neighborhood and people living in Łazarz for a very long time.
How do we achieve this?
To do this, we create a strong team of 16 volunteers (consisting of 8 foreigners and
8 Poles). For 9 months (April to December), they will work for an integration of the local Łazarz community in the name of intercultural understanding. Our chosen volunteers will be train and prepare for the role of animators and educators. Then the team will choose multicultural tandems, composed of foreign and Polish people, who will be responsible for the implementation
of selected events in a series of meetings, "The 5 senses of culture" (see below) or workshops in schools concern intercultural issues. Together we will support the Muslim Cultural and Educational Center in preparations for this year's Night of Museums and we will carry out
an adaptation of "Living Library" during the Days of Łazarz in 2016.
What do You gain by joining the project?

and animation of the local community;
- You will know a number of interactive tools (such as brainstorming, discussion,
self-reflection, drama techniques, etc.) to work with the local community;
- You will learn how to organize various social and cultural events from scratch;
- You will receive individual mentoring during the project;
- You will learn how to work in an international team and you will experience an interesting meetings at the crossroads of cultures and religions;
- You will meet many fantastic people, which may result in building a long-term, beautiful relationships. :)
